Mid-19th century, .44 caliber, 2-1/8 in. iron barrel with lower half rounded and upper half having three flats, the top of which is stamped CHARLESTON S.C; checkered walnut stock with german silver mounts; presented in velvet lined rosewood case having three empty compartments for accessories (though a round ball is present in one).
