Edna Gass (American, 1904-1993), Two Figural Paintings

The first an oil on board, signed at lower right, titled Vendeuse, framed (9 3/4 x 7 3/4 in.); the second an oil on board, signed lower right, depicting a young woman lounging by a shoreline, titled Sur la plage, framed (7 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.).

Edna Gass was a Philadelphia artist and considered a member of the New Hope School. She is known for her diminutive impressionist figural works.

Minor rubbing to frames; overall in good estate condition.
