From the Collection of Robert Jenks, Durham, North Carolina Siebold, a German physician and naturalist, came to Japan in 1828. His curiosity, artistic talent, and deep interest in Far Eastern flora and fauna expanded to include all things Japanese. Siebold's expertise and enthusiasm in many areas resulted in these magnificent books that capture Japan's traditional essence.
