18th century, walnut veneer, oak secondary, top with herringbone banded inlay, lipped slant lid with repeating inlay with loper supports opens to reveal a well fitted interior with a green leather writing surface, central prospect door flanked by small drawers and pigeon holes over a sliding storage surface, the case with two over two graduated inlaid drawers on a shaped bracket foot base.

Some old staining to the top; slant lid with crack/repair to top right corner; later green leather (in good condition); tightness to sliding interior surface; drawers reworked with later interior silk lining (but in good usable condition); later bracket foot base.
