In 2015, the Museu de Arte Contemporáneo, Caracas, mounted an exhibition of works by Jesús Guerrero and Livia Daza-Paris. Included in the exhibition were several paintings from Guerrero's series evoking the game of pool. This particular painting is an early example of that series which recreates, from a modern perspective, the paintings by Georges Braque on this theme.
