Norman "Bart" Bartholomew was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After high school, he continued to N.C. State University where he received his degree in Architecture. His entire career was dedicated to fine architecture which he practiced at Bartholomew Associates, Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina until the summer of 2007.
