Qing dynasty (1644-1911), a Chinese Rosewood scholar's tray, with two side drawers to hold brushes, ink stones, and other implements for calligraphy and painting, the tray has a ribbed pattern to sides, the tray comes together with a long narrow ink block decorated with the Eight Buddhist Treasures, and a long handled calligraphy brush with horsehair and tortoise handle.
