Third quarter 19th century, laquered brass and steel chondrometer, designed for measuring bulk density of grain, the portable instrument mounts onto fitted wooden case, balance arm calibrated from 0-90 in French Kilos per Hectolitre, and in 0-70 in English Pounds per Bushel, arm terminal marked " W.R. Dell / & SON / 26 MARK LANE / LONDON," with paper label to interior.
