American Paint Decorated Blanket Chest

Circa 1800, probably New England, white pine, dovetailed case, hinged lid with bread board ends, interior with till to the left side, bracket foot base.

23 x 49 x 23 in.

Underside of lid retaining chalk signatures and old paper label; paint is early and appears original.

Paint wear and loss to lid; wear at front edge; feet appear original and have likely lost height; later butt hinges.
