Oil on panel, signed and dated "J. J. Bellel '49" at lower left, retains small indiscernible hand-written label to verso, presented in likely original gilt and wood and composition frame, retains picture light.

Overall good estate condition; some very light frame abrasions around periphery; examined under UV light, and possible retouch above and left of figure's head in white areas; some frame wear including cracks at corners that appear stable.
