20th century; the first an oblong pedestal bowl of white agate with inlaid and inset lapis decoration, likely Italian (4 1/8 x 6 3/4 x 2 3/4 in.), together with three art glass cherries; the second a carved white hardstone box with reticulated sides, the removable cover with ornate inlaid floral design of multi-colored hardstones, likely Indian (2 x 5 1/8 x 3 3/4 in.).
The Estate of the late Frank Daniels, Jr. and his wife Julia Jones Daniels, Raleigh, North Carolina. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the North Carolina Museum of History Foundation Very good estate condition; one cherry with small loss to upper stem.
