The first an oil on board titled Terriers, Wales Valley by Christopher Meadows (Scottish, 1863-1947), artist's monogram at lower right, inscribed to verso, presented in a later period appropriate frame with gilt filet (Frame dimensions 7 3/4 x 10 1/4 in.) (good estate condition); the second an oil on tin, portrait of a foxhound, unsigned, late 19th century, period appropriate frame with white gold liner (8 1/4 x 9 in.) (extensive paint flaking).
