20th century, carved wood with distressed and painted surfaces, both bluebills with glass eyes, the lesser scaup (Length 16.5 in.) is a hollow body with keel and weight, carved "BC" to underside; the other bluebill with carved wings and carved "LM BOND" to underside, missing weight (15.5 in.); the third of a coot, hollow body, weighted with anchor nail and portion of string attached.
From the Estate of the late Jay Neal Morton, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Lesser scaup has epoxy fill cracks in chest; the other has loose head, crack in base running length of decoy; coot has small wood checking on back.
