20th century, includes three red lacquer boxes, all painted in black, blue, and gilt with auspicious Chinese motifs such as the Buddhist Treasures, bats, longevity seals, peony blossoms and fruit, each with handles, the largest with a single shelf that can be removed to access a larger storage area below (12 1/2 x 16 x 9 1/2 in.), the second a lozenge shaped with four stacked sections (12 1/4 x 14 x 6 in.), and the third a smaller oval shape with three stacked sections (5 3/4 x 7 1/2 x 3 3/4 in.)

Overall good estate condition; all boxes with some chips and losses to lacquer surface, especially edges of sections from removal and use.
