American Rococo Revival Carved Marble Turtle-Top Parlor Table

Circa 1860, mahogany, mahogany veneer, chestnut secondary, beautiful marble top with mottled ochre/red/white, molded edge, the conforming base featuring carved and applied bird/berry to each side, acanthus carved shaped legs, pierced shaped stretcher base with center finial, on casters.

The marble top is stable but does have tight hairlines to some natural veins; the top may be custom and later as the top edge of the base exhibits several screw holes from previous top.
