Mid-19th century, marked "Hyde & Goodrich / New Orleans, LA / Coin" beneath an eagle clutching crossed arrows and holding a shield, the rim with applied band of beading and Greek keys sweeping up to an exaggerated spout, the cast and applied handle featuring a lion's head at the thumb guard, the body supported by three hairy paw feet with finely detailed animal mask mounts, no monogram or engraving.
