Salt glazed stoneware with Chinese Blue dip to the rims and a short footed base, stamped on the undersides.

The double gourd form appeared during the Ming dynasty, although a painted design was used rather than a contrasting glaze.

Good condition; original firing imperfections including a stress line around the foot of the vase with deeper color dip.
