First quarter 19th century, ornate chased brass face signed "Josephus / Schanke / in Brunn," main dial with roman numeral hour markers, two upper subsidiary dials marked "Repetirt, nicht repe." and "Schlagt, nicht Schl," original brass works appears unsigned, within a mahogany case with arched glass front door and side panels, carved pierced giltwood foliate decoration, ormolu torchiere finials and figural wreath and ribbon handle, ormolu paw feet. Includes keys.
