American Classical Carved and Inlaid Mahogany Sofa

Circa 1840, mahogany, mahogany veneer with rosewood inlay, scrolled crest rail with crotch mahogany veneers, banded inlaid frieze, upholstered back panel, scrolled arms and seat in later woven cream fabric, S-scrolled arms, rounded front seat rail, well developed front legs with carved wing, flower and paw feet, finished rear plain panel with claw feet.
