Circa 1870, burl wood veneer, vertical rectangular form featuring a molded top, hinged front mirror folds down to reveal a divided interior with five pigeonholes, three shelves and two side by side small drawers, green velvet writing surface, the stiles featuring turned urn supports, all over gilt and incised decoration to front and side panels, scrolled base, lower shelf, stylized down-swept foot.

A rare Victorian form in original surface.
