Two Chinese Export Porcelain Chicken Tureens

Early 20th century, includes two Chinese export porcelain chicken form covered tureens, both hand painted in aubergine, green, and yellow glazes, the basin of smaller is finished in a yellow glaze emulating a woven basket, the basin of the larger is finished with decoration of legs pulled under the body, both with interiors finished in turquoise glaze, unmarked.

10 x 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 in., 8 3/4 x 7 1/4 x 10 in.

Largest has a slight nick to neck; old tape residue to sides and an area of later paint or substance to lower body; the smaller with old tape residue to sides.
