Pair of New England Federal Mahogany Side Chairs

Attributed to Connecticut, circa 1800, shaped crest rail and stiles with scratch bead, pierced back splat with relief carved wheat shaft, molded shoe, over upholstered seat, square tapered legs, flush stretcher base.

Later upholstery; all over alligatored surface; small break at upper crest by crest rail.
