During the 1940s and 1950s, Garrish produced a majority of his decoys while also a hunting guide waterfowling out of curtain box blinds on the shoals just west of Ocracoke Island. Most of his decoys were made with canvas. This pair is outfitted with unusual glass eyes, sand poured egg shaped weights and canvas thongs for rigging, extremely rare.
Original paint with moderate gunning, hen has age checks on back and large check on bottom.
