Stacy Howard was a sportsman's guide for Captain Bill Gaskill and also commercially fished. His daughter, Blanche, recalled that he had a large rig of decoys which he would place in the flat bottom skiff for transporting to the hunting grounds. She also recalled that he chopped his decoys out with a hatchet and smoothed the surface with a wood rasp and broken glass.
Original paint worn to bare wood in places on the back, working repair to neck, tail has small amount of wood loss.
