Wood fired salt glazed stoneware featuring a shaped collar over an ovoid tapered body, impressed "DS" on the underside.

Stuempfle considers his work to be an amalgam of the traditional and the contemporary, influenced by his travels in Europe and Asia. Some credits are: US/Japan Creative Artists Fellowship recipient, NEA/Central and Eastern Europe Visual Arts Fellowship recipient. Large area of original kiln irregularity; small divot glaze filled.
