Wood fired stoneware ash glazed, having a tall neck over a bulbous body, the whole surface inscribed with combed wavy lines, impressed on the underside "DS".

Stuempfle considers his work to be an amalgam of the traditional and the contemporary, influenced by his travels inEurope and Asia.
