Circa 1840, highly figured maple and birch, the headboard with scrolled pediment over two rectangular inset raised birds-eye maple panels, four tall posts with bold turnings above blocks with applied roundels, raised on tapered baluster legs on casters. Later tester frame.
Headboard 87 x 72.5 in., Interior Width 66 in., Interior Length 75 in., Floor to top of rail 25.5 in., Floor to bottom on rail 21.5 in.

Headboard's far right scroll cut and tipped; overall good condition.
