French Heavy Cavalry Saber With Straight Blade

19th century, arsenal information dated 1830 on top of the 37-1/4 in. blade; the right side of the blade with additional marks beneath the branched brass guard, which is stamped with H 8 G; the grip sheathed in leather wrapped with twisted brass wire. Fitted with an iron scabbard.
