Circa 1800 or earlier, woven in multicolor wool threads, depicting the Greek mythological story of Artemis and Actaeon in vignettes surrounded by greenery and distant castles: when Actaeon spies on Artemis bathing, she turns him into a deer and he is then killed by his own hunting dogs, with later fabric border and backing attached, with metal brackets for wall display.
