Oil on canvas, the first House Next Door, signed at lower left edge, and the second a similar winter landscape with a house, signed at lower right, both retaining old exhibition labels from the Thumb Box Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club, New York., presented in giltwood Newcomb Macklin Company frames.

Leon Harold Soderston was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the Berkshire Art Association. He was an art instructor at the Berkshire Industrial Farm. He exhibited work at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Light age cracks, otherwise good estate condition.
