19th century, the first of a gentleman, painted on card with "bronzed" painted details, facing right and well groomed in Regency coat (frame dimensions 4 1/4 x 3 5/8 in.); the second of a woman facing right, cut-out on card with "bronzed" painted details, bust-length and wearing lace bonnet, frame verso with later inscribed label "Cheltenham England 1935" (7 x 5 1/2 in.). Both presented behind glass in ebonized frames.
