Early 20th century, reverse-painted "chipped ice" domed glass shade, featuring a hand-painted and cut to clear dogwood motif, lower rim signed and numbered with artist initials "Handel 6818 CM," aperture ring stamped "Handel / Lamps" with patent number 979664 (7 1/2 x 18 in. diameter); shade supported on a patinated metal base with three light cluster socket and pierced heat cap, baluster form standard over a Chinoiserie Meiping style vase with lion mask handles, stamped HANDEL to lower edge, with integral pierced ruyi motif base (24 1/4 in.)
