Jim Dine is a leading American artist who was first known as a pioneer of happenings and performance art, and he is currently recognized for his vibrant graphic works such as the iconic lithograph offered here. In Dine's
Self-Portrait series, he rebels against classic self portraiture as we know it to instead depict various bathrobes as a form of self representation. The example offered here that depicts a landscape atop a bathrobe is among the more valuable of these self portraits.
A nice impression with strong colors; overall good condition; few spots and some sheet waviness; not examined out of frame.
