First half 19th century, mahogany, yellow pine secondary, rectangular hinged lid, dovetailed box with two lower flush drawers, applied bracket foot base.

An unusual Southern form using high grade woods in the solid. Some pencil markings to back and underside of drawers.

Top with some dark staining; right side of base with break/repair and exposed nail; feet are old and appear original but have been reset and missing glue blocks.
