Lower Tidewater or Southside Virginia, circa 1740-60, yellow pine secondary, old (likely original) surface with a blackish-brown paint, single board top with wide side overhang, single flush drawer with short turned pull, flush skirt with pegged joinery, distinctive turned and slightly tapered legs and sausage turned H-stretcher.

Old, as found, surface with attractive rich patina; drawer bottom reset; drawer pull appears to have been re-glued; central turned stretcher is later, but appropriately turned to match the original side stretchers.
