Oleg Koulikov is a painter and illustrator who was born in the Ukraine in 1964, and currently lives and practices in Canada. He received formal training at Hertzen University in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and his artwork has been exhibited in a number of galleries and museums throughout Russia. Koulikov discovered encaustic when moving to Canada, and he became a master in the medium. He currently makes images for several United States-based magazines such as the Wall Street Journal and the Chicago Tribune.
