Pair of Italian Rococo Diminutive Carved and Gilt Mirrors

18th century, asymmetrical carved wood with gesso and old gilt surface with pierced acanthus leaf and scroll motifs.

36 x 20 in.

Retains old mirrors (possibly original) with some streaking to the silver surface; toning to the old gilt surface; scattered gesso and gilding loss; one frame with chip and loss to upper right corner and crack to lower right corner; the other mirror with two cracks at the upper corners and small chip to pediment and right side leaf.
