18th century, mahogany, mahogany veneer, pine secondary, painted metal face with upper painted vignette of swans in a pond, the foreground swan sways back-and-forth with the second movement, with calendar dial and second dial, the face marked "Jn. Chambley, Wolverhampton", broken arched pediment with brass finials and applied rosettes, reeded plinths, vertical banded veneer and light wood line inlay, shaped hinged waist door with repeating banded veneer and dark wood line inlay, both doors flanked by distinctive fully turned columns with reeded front edge and brass capitals, the base with shaped panel and molded surround, canted corners on shaped straight bracket feet, with pendulum, two weights, winding key, and case key.
