American, 19th century, cotton and wool, the first with natural cotton warp and alternating navy, red, and mustard wool weft forming a design of rose clusters alternating with 8-petaled flowers and star motifs, side borders with flower baskets and row of stars, end borders with roses and birds, corner block signed "H. Petry / Canton / Stark / County / OHIO / 1839", fringe to three sides, top edge hemmed, center seam (scattered small stains, areas of minor discoloration, wear to fringe, a few visible knots inherent to the weaving process, otherwise good estate condition) (6 ft. x 6 ft. 8 in.); The second with natural and blue cotton warp and bands of red, navy, and green wool weft forming a design with repeating floral and geometric motifs, borders with floral vine and wheat motifs, outer border with repeating stars, center seam, corner block signed "M. Hoke / IN Dover / York Co. / 1839 / S. Keener", and with lower border of repeating "PATENT", top edge hemmed and without fringe (stains, holes, areas of wear with warp loss, fringe loss, otherwise good estate condition) (7 ft. x 7 ft. 10 in.); The third with natural cotton ground and red, blue, and green alternating bands of weft forming a repeating pattern of floral and heart-shaped motifs, three sides with border of repeating leafed flower motif within minor borders of diagonal stripes, corner block signed "MADE BY / T. WEBER / N. EMAUS / FOR", finished edges without fringe, top and bottom edges hemmed (staining, holes, fabric patch to center of top edge) (6 ft. 7 in. x 7 ft. 2 in.).
