Circa 1860-1870; the bowl raised on a pedestal foot, the body featuring a central cartouche period monogram "M.M.M." to the right of which is a scenic design with turreted "castle" by a lake upon which figures in a sailboat float, to the left a smaller scenic design of a building with three towers, the remaining surface with hand-chased floral and foliate repoussé decoration and featuring a single butterfly (5 1/2 x 6 1/4 in. diameter) (body of bowl slightly pressed down on pedestal, several minor pinpoint dents); the ewer form creamer with scenic design featuring "castles" and a humble cottage amidst floral and foliate scrolls, cartouche to waist with period monogram "M.M.M." (8 1/4 in.) (slight wobble, wear to stippled ground, minor dent to apex of handle).
