38-3/4 octagonal barrel approximately .36 caliber, signed C. P. WOOD on top flat behind fixed rear sight, German silver front sight; figured maple half stock with brass mounts; lockplate marked LEMAN / LANCTR.PA, double-set trigger; fitted with wooden ramrod with copper tip.

Working action; small copper patch to left of hammer; barrel with smooth surfaces and deep patina; lockplate and mechanism with light oxidation; brass with mellow old toning; hairlines and possible repairs to butt; overall an attractive rifle.
