Best known for his Impressionist full-length and small portraits of everyday people, Catalan sculptor Josep Cardona studied at the school of Fine Arts of La Lonja in Barcelona. He was a student of sculptor Manuel Fuxa i Leal (Spanish, 1850-1927), and a member of the Circulo Artistico de Sant Lluc and the Real Circulo Artistico de Barcelona. A solo exhibition was held at the Fayans Catalan Gallery in Barcelona in 1909.

Some rubbing to patina, else good estate condition.
