Paris, circa 1880s, walnut and brass campaign case with inlaid brass presentation plaque to "Dr. - Mirabele / Medicin de Marin", opens to a crimson velvet interior with period paper label inventory listing, outfitted with two layers of surgical instruments, many tools feature the maker's stamp to handle/and or steel instrument, the case edge engraved with brass maker's label Mn. Charriere Collin & Cie.
