Claudius Claudianus (Claudian) (ca. 370-404) was an ancient Latin poet of the Roman Empire. He wrote a variety of political, historical, and mythological poems, most notably De raptu Proserpinae (The Rape of Proserpina) which is included in this volume.

General scuffs and scratches to boards, light discoloration, manuscript on spine; sturdy binding; bookplate on first free endpaper; wormholes to several pages, with toning, and occasional writing, tears, chips, and light stains; tear to A1, re-margining with wormhole repairs to endpaper, A1-B1, and x-y8.
