Circa 1790, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the sitter a blue-eyed gentleman with powdered hair en queue, attired in a blue jacket with fancy gold embroidery, presented behind glass in an ornate silver case with scrollwork and beaded decoration, impressed mark "L.V" to case reverse.
