Dionysius Periegetes (Alexandria, 2nd century CE) was an ancient Greek poet known for his description of Earth in hexameters. This book offers his work through Greek text next to the Latin translation by Papius, followed by an interpretation from the 6th-century grammarian Priscian, as well as the Greek poem Hero and Leander with Latin translation.

Boards with expected discoloration and scuffing, slight warping, ink manuscript on cover; 19th-century writing on paste-down endpaper, small area of writing on title page; pages toned, with foxing mostly at gathering M; several pages with small losses and tears at outer margin and staining at lower margin not impacting text.
