Giulio Cesare Capaccio (Naples, ca.1552-1634) was an important Italian scholar and humanist known for writing a history of Naples. His book of famous women and men discusses Galla Placidia, Agrippina, Thomas Aquinas, and many others.

Vellum with general wear and small stains, losses to labels and head of spine, lacking ties; binding fragile with front board and spine nearly completely separated from textblock; ex-libris and bookstore sticker on front paste-down; free endpaper loose and with stains and losses; several signatures with damp staining at margins; pages lightly toned with foxing, occasional stain and loss or tear not impacting text (K2 and D4 with larger losses); 2A2 with repair; rear paste-down mostly lost; an extremely rare title outside of institutions.
