From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C. Quintus Curtius Rufus was an ancient Roman historian. Although
Histories of Alexander the Great is his only known work, it was incredibly influential beginning in the medieval period and Renaissance. It was first printed just a few decades after the invention of the printing press, with new editions still being printed today.
Boards with edgewear, corners bumped, spine darkened and lightly creased with chips at head and tail, joints cracked; paste-downs with typical staining from binder's glue, 18th century manuscript on free endpaper, bookplate on verso of title page; light toning and foxing, occasional stain; about very good copy of this important biography.
