With indices, printed marginalia, woodcut printer's device on title page, with woodcut initials and ornaments. Note that Grässe lists Paris as the location which contradicts Adams. Does not perfectly match Adams collation; all five parts in proper order with early indices mis-bound. Adams V282; Grässe 6.2/262.

From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C. Marcus Terentius Varro (116-27 BCE) was a Roman scholar and author best known for
De lingua latina (On the Latin Language) and
De re rustica (On Agriculture), both included in this collection. Grässe writes about this line on page 12 of this edition: 'Here si querelis...' that he notes that Scaliger attributes to an ancient poet. (Grässe 6.2/262).
Vellum with expected wear and small stains; title page with manuscript, Scaliger crossed out, loss at upper margin, small wormholes and light damp staining; pages toned with scattered foxing and occasional small stain or soiling, stains at fore-edge, damp staining at margins, Scaliger named crossed out throughout.
