From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C. This collection of maps was first engraved by Antonio Bolifoni in 1692, but was later slightly modified and reprinted by his nephew Luigi. Now extremely rare, it is found in only a few institutions and is scarce at auction.
Sold as a mostly loose collection of maps, with lower board remaining attached and upper board present but detached; overall light toning throughout with occasional grime, and staining concentrated at lower margins and rear paste-down; first gathering with damp staining to lower corner; maps very good with foxing heaviest at margins, 7th map with small hole in margin.
